Welcome to Peel Museum & Botanical Garden, a free community space provided by the Peel Compton Foundation. Since 1991, the Peel Compton Foundation has operated Peel Museum & Botanical Garden and celebrated the rich history and horticultural traditions of Bentonville, Arkansas. Built in 1875 by Congressman Samuel West Peel and Mary Emaline Berry Peel, the iconic Italianate-style home has welcomed thousands of visitors and stood witness to the expanding communities of Northwest Arkansas.
During your visit to Peel Museum & Botanical Garden we invite you to immerse yourself in our grounds, learn about life in late 1800s Northwest Arkansas, and explore the story of the Peel family. During your visit you are invited to ask questions to our volunteers and staff, take photos, and experience the home and grounds at your own pace. The Peel Compton Foundation kindly asks all visitors to refrain from touching or leaning on objects and surfaces inside the museum and to refrain from collecting seeds or cuttings from the garden. Thank you for your help to preserve our spaces for future generations.
Your journey begins at the Andy Lynch Family Cabin.
