USA Archery Arkansas Outdoor Target State Championship
Event Overview
The USA Archery Arkansas State Outdoor Target Championship marks the first-ever statewide competition of it’s kind for archers in Arkansas, showcasing the skill and precision of archers from The Natural State. This event offers a unique opportunity for archers of all levels to compete in a professionally sanctioned outdoor target archery tournament, promoting the sport of archery across the state of Arkansas.
This state championship will feature individual competitions in various bow divisions, including recurve, compound, and barebow, and will follow the official USA Archery rules and guidelines. Participants will compete in a series of outdoor target rounds, testing their accuracy, consistency, and mental focus.
Key Highlights
- Divisions: Compound, Barebow, Recurve and Basic Compound (limited)
- Classes: Explorer, Yeoman, U13, U15, U18, U21, Senior, Masters 50+ (See guidebook for details.)
- Target Distances: Archers will compete at varying distances based on their division, ranging from short distances for youth categories to long distances for senior and master divisions. See page 13 of the Event Guidebook.
Registration & Fees:
Registration for the championship will open several months in advance, with registration available on the USA Archery website.
All Participants MUST be USA Archery Members. Note that Recreational membership doesn’t NOT give access to state competitions.
Awards & Recognition:
Medals: Awards will be presented to the top three archers in each category
State Records: Participants will be eligible for Arkansas State Records, a first in Arkansas history, which means EVERY winner should hold a record!

Check-in begins at

Opening Ceremony

Practice Sessions
Friday, June 20: 8:00am – 7:00pm
Saturday, June 21: One practice end prior to the start of scoring.
Equipment Inspection
Official Practice Inspection Time: Friday, June 20th 5:00pm – 7:00pm
Event Inspections: 30mins to 1 hour prior to flight time, day of event
All equipment must be inspected by a judge prior to the competition, and may be spot inspected at any time by a judge during the competition. Please be in compliance with World Archery Equipment Guidelines.
Qualification Round
Archers with participate in a 72 arrow qualification round (12 ends of 6 arrows).
Allow approximately 4 hours to complete the round.
First flight starts shooting at 8:30am.
If registrations exceeds expectations:
- A second flight will be added, starting at 2:00pm
- A third flight will be added on Sunday at 8:30am
